Matt is a lifelong resident of the great state of Kansas. He grew up in central Kansas near Lindsborg, and was an avid bird hunter from a young age. Matt started bowhunting in 1998 after being exposed to the sport by several close friends. Since that first season he has exclusively archery hunted big game, with success on Whitetail Deer, Mule Deer, Antelope and Wild Turkey. Matt works as a District Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. He resides in Grainfield with his wife Jerri, who has successfully taken deer and turkey with her bow and arrow. Matt is relatively new to the KBA, joining the club in January of 2007. He has quickly realized what a great benefit the KBA is for the sport of archery and especially bowhunters across the state of Kansas. Matt is excited to serve on the Executive Council as the Northwest Representative and intends to be a part of KBA for many years to come.
